Retail Sound Sculpture
The Beacon is a temporary sculpture supspended in the atrium of Nike's newest NYC Flagship. Forty speakers are positioned across the form directing sound across three floors of retail space. Alongside the multi-channel audio, 29 screens and 70 programmagble lights combine to create a multimedia spectacle. Themes of transmission, data quantification, and broadcasting combine with the sounds of sport, NYC, and a variety of featured athelete voices to create a remarkable storytelling platform. Custom software allows diferent sounds to move across the form, creating an immersive spatial audio experience that brings the consumer journey to a whole new level.
